• How do I silence the buzzer?
• I have no communication to the telephone company host computer, and the DCR displays “Host Down” at the bottom of the screen.
• There is no communication between my CRT and the DCR.
• My automation communication is down, and the DCR says “Host Up, Auto Down” at the bottom of the screen.

• Every time I refresh the database (Utilities menu, Key 3), a STU that has been disconnected returns to my database in the DCR.

• How do I silence the buzzer?
  • Press the “F10” key.
• I have no communication to the telephone company host computer, and the DCR displays “Host Down” at the bottom of the screen.
  • Look at your modem lights. If the CO light is dark(out), the data circuit is open and must be reported to the Telephone Company. You will need to supply your circuit # to the telephone company.
  • Look at your modem lights. If the TD light is on solid, this means your DCR is not connected to the modem, or your DCR is turned off. Check the cable between your modem and your DCR.

  There is no communication between my CRT and the DCR.

• Check that the cable is secure between the terminal port on the DCR and the CRT.
• Check that your CRT communications are set as follows:

• For software versions 2.0 through 3.5: 9600 baud, 8 bits, no parity, xon/xoff enabled.

• For software version 3.5.2.1: 9600 baud, 8 bits, no parity, xon/xoff enabled.

• For all other versions: 19200 baud, 8 bits, no parity, xon/xoff enabled.

• Check that you can get into setup on your CRT. If you cannot get into the local CRT setup, the CRT is probably bad.
• Check that the DCR is turned on and there is power supplied to the DCR. Rest power to the DCR by opening the front panel cover and toggling the power switch.
• My automation communication is down, and the DCR says “Host Up, Auto Down” at the bottom of the screen.
  • Check to make sure the cable is plugged into the automation port of the DCR.
  • Check to make sure the automation port is set up correctly, with the proper protocol selected.
• What are the communication settings for the computer (automation) port?
  • 1200 baud, 8 bits per character, 1 stop bit and no parity.

  What are the communication settings for the printer port?

• The printer port is a parallel port.
• How do you setup the automation port?
  • Go into the “System Setup” menu and enable automation (key 4), select protocol to use (key 5) and receiver number to use (key 6).
• How do I get rid of a STU on my local database?
  • Go into the “Modify STU” menu and use the “Delete STU” command.
• Every time I refresh the database (Utilities menu, Key 3), a STU that has been disconnected returns to my database in the DCR.
  • The STU must still be in the master database at the Telephone Company. Call the Telephone Company to have it permanently removed if this is what you wish to be done.
